Foundation Guayacán Real

This small tourism project has great ecological importance for Guanacaste. Its function is to finance the GUAYACAN REAL FOUNDATION. This Foundation, created in 2020, has the purpose of recovering the population of GUAYACAN REAL (guayacum sancti), which is in danger of extinction.
The royal guayacán was declared endangered in 1980. Then there were barely 100 adult specimens left in all of Costa Rica. Thanks to your financial contributions, we are delivering 200 trees to schools, communities and families every year. This allows us to hope that within 10 years, the population of Guayacán Real will have stabilized in Costa Rica. But we will still have to continue with this task, since for a guayacán to reach a trunk 50 cm in diameter it will take: 300 years!!! . Nobody plants a guayacán to enjoy its shade or its wood, that will be left for future generations, but conserving the biodiversity of the earth is our task now.!!

Dieses kleine Tourismusprojekt hat große ökologische Bedeutung für Guanacaste. Seine Aufgabe ist die Finanzierung der GUAYACAN REAL FOUNDATION. Diese im Jahr 2020 gegründete Stiftung hat den Zweck, die vom Aussterben bedrohte Bevölkerung von GUAYACAN REAL (Guayacum Sancti) wiederherzustellen.
Der Königsguayacán wurde 1980 für gefährdet erklärt. Damals gab es in ganz Costa Rica kaum noch 100 erwachsene Exemplare. Dank Ihrer finanziellen Beiträge liefern wir jedes Jahr 200 Bäume an Schulen, Gemeinden und Familien. Dies lässt hoffen, dass sich die Bevölkerung von Guayacán Real in Costa Rica innerhalb von 10 Jahren stabilisiert hat. Aber mit dieser Aufgabe müssen wir noch weitermachen, denn bis ein Guayacán einen Stamm von 50 cm Durchmesser erreicht, wird es 300 Jahre dauern!!! . Niemand pflanzt einen Guayacán, um seinen Schatten oder sein Holz zu genießen, das künftigen Generationen überlassen wird, aber die Erhaltung der Artenvielfalt der Erde ist jetzt unsere Aufgabe.!!
